One Month Check Up

Kenz went to the doctor yesterday and she was quite the big girl!  She weighed 11lbs 13oz and was 22.75 inches long!  I can't believe how fast she is growing!  The doctor said that she was bigger than over 90% of the other little baby girls her age!  Well, I guess with Jeff and my genes what else can we expect!?!

Kenzie's First Day Out

For Mackenzie's first day out we didn't want to take her to a very busy place, so we decided to go out for lunch at Gator's.  She was so good!  She slept the entire time.

Too Cute for Words!

When my mom was here we wanted to take some cute pictures of Mackenzie.  I think they turned out pretty darn cute!

 Her face cracks me up!

Mackenzie and Thor

Mackenzie is Jeff and I's first daughter, but we already had a "son" before she was born!  Mr Thor has been my little buddy since we got him last November.  He is now about a year and a half old.  His mom was a Great Pyrenees and they believe his dad was a Great Dane/ Hound or Pointer mix.  He is the most gentle dog and so loveable.  We knew that he would like Kenz as soon as we brought her home.  Although he loved Kenz, he was a little mad at his mommy for bringing home this little person that gets more attention than him now.  He has finally gotten over it and loves him mommy again.

I always said that I thought that he would be very protective of his baby.  One day a repair guy came over to fix our AC and when he walked in the door he barked at the guy and then ran over to Kenz and sat right by her, between her and the guy.  It was so sweet!  He was going to protect her.  He always sits by her too if a new person comes in the house that he doesn't know.  He loves his little Kenz!

Visitors

Grandma Cheri, Papa Ross, and Great Granny Pat came to see Kenz when she was born.  Grandma and Granny came on her due date, which was Aug 30, but she was stubborn already and didn't come until I was induced on Sept 6.  After 30 hours of labor she was here on the 7th.  Papa Ross came for a few days from the 6th to the 9th.  I loved having all three of them here!  Grandma and Granny helped me out SOOOOO much!  They did all of the cooking, cleaning, and anything else we could possibly need!

Jeff's mom, Jackie, also came down the same week that my mom and Grandma left.  She stayed with us for ten days.  She was so excited to come down here and meet her first granddaughter.

Mackenzie Leigh Chakouian

For all of our family and friends back home I decided to start up my blog again.  Obviously I didn't do a very good job when I first started the blog back in 2010 when I moved to Orlando! HAHA!  But now that Jeff and I have a new addition to our little family I would like to keep everyone posted on how she is doing!

Mackenzie Leigh was born on September 7, 2012.  She was 8 pounds 2 oz, 21 inches long and perfect in every way!!

Mackenzie Leigh has a very special name.  Mackenzie was a name that Jeff and I came up with, but Leigh was named after Tobey Leigh.  Tobey is such a loving, caring, and kind hearted person and someone that we want and know Kenzie will look up to.  We can't wait for Aunt Tobey to come visit in a couple of weeks!
